Fire Prevention Week will be held from Oct. 5 through Oct. 11. “Working Smoke Alarms Saves Lives,” so test yours every month!

The kick-off event will be held on Oct. 5 at the Zama Main Exchange from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a fire truck display and a meet-and-greet with “Sparky” the Camp Zama fire prevention dog. Free promotional goods will be available.

Later that day, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. there will be a Fire Prevention Parade starting at the SFHA Commissary. Sparky and the fire trucks will also be at this event.
