A can-did look at Yokota’s Food Pantry
The Food Pantry is a non-profit service sponsored by the local AFSA chapter 1551 and accepts donations of canned goods for a good cause: hunger.
Their mission is to provide assistance and convenience to SOFA ID card holders and their families at Yokota Air Base in the form of non-perishable food.
Foreign or American canned items are acceptable donations as long as they have not expired and have a visible expiration date. Perishable items such as bread or items that require refrigeration are not allowed. Popular items needed are baby foods, baby formula and soups, but any donation is more than welcome.
Hours of operation: Tuesday and Thursday 1000-1400, Saturday 1000-1600. For questions go to Facebook “The Yokota Food Pantry” or come by and visit them in building 994, over by the Ushihama supply gate.
