374th CES volunteers make a difference at school
Members of the 374th CES have been hard at work helping the Aoba Japan International School (AJIS) prepare its newly located campus. From clean-up and painting to moving library books and landscaping, the Yokota volunteers have contributed immensely to the opening of the new school to its students, parents and local community.
Aoba Japan International School provides a comprehensive curriculum to nearly 300 students, K-12, from many different countries. Thanks to the outstanding efforts of the 374th CES, AJIS has recently moved into their new campus located in Hikarigako.
These efforts have made an incredible impression on the AJIS faculty, staff and community. Thanks to all the 374th CES volunteers that gave their time, energy and expertise in renovating AJIS' new school. Not only did these airmen volunteer their time on numerous Saturdays, they also saved AJIS
several thousands of dollars and acted as ambassadors between the U.S. Air Force and the AJIS community.
This was a wonderful opportunity. Working with the hard-working volunteers from the 374th CES was a great experience, bringing members from Yokota to our international school to work closely with our faculty, staff and local community and accomplish our objective to beautify our new school.
